Whoooooops!

Going to Taiwan/Hong Kong for a holiday. Will not be in Singapore for the next 2 weeks!! Think I'll try to update my holiday if I can find FREE internet connection.

This is a song by 康康. A sad song. There is this particular line in the chorus that I thought is well written.

This song is about a guy coming to terms that the girl he loves do not love him back. He can do anything for the girl, including leaving her so that she can continue looking for her happiness without hindrance. And he realise that's exactly what he is to the girl. A hindrance. Although he's heartbroken for making that decision, she wouldn't shed a tear for it. He thought he's making a great sacrifice in the name of love, but how do u sacrifice something you do not have? There's nothing great about his actions. He's just stop being an idiot.

Sad.

It's been sometime since I last went to Wala Wala to listen to the UnXpected perform. As good as I remembered them to be.

Things didn't start well though. I went to watch the Ultimate Comedian recording before that. It was supposed to end at 9pm, but it ended at 9:30pm, and I only reach it at 10pm. And I was hopping that CLJ and Trish will reach there before 9pm and ordered for me booze at 1 for 1. They reached at 9:40pm. Sigh. Felyn was still having dinner with her friends at 9:40pm, and it looks unlikely that she'll come. And Tommy decides that he is in no mood to join us in the last minute. And to make it worse, there's no more seats and we have to stand by the stairs. We placed our drinks on the railing by the stairs and under constant fear of accidentally knocking it over onto guests coming up the stairs.

Things started improving after the UnXpected completes their 1st set at 10:30pm. CLJ found a small area at the counter. Felyn also called to say she is on the way. I was feeling quite hungry then and ordered a pizza and a interesting-looking-mushroom-snack. Awhile after I ordered, the waiter ushered us to a table in front of the stage. I guess it's quite hard to put the pizza on the small counter area. :P

The seafood I ordered is very nice, though there is a slight fishy smell. It's Italian style pizza. I think it's better than Spizza. The mushroom snack can be quite nice if not for the sauce they used is vinegar. I don't like vinegar.

Felyn and her friend came before the 2nd set starts. And it's all happy times till the end of the 3rd set. Really enjoyed the songs they sang. The last song, Angel is very well sung by Shirlyn. And there's even an encore after that. So it ends well. :)

This time, it's dinner at IKOI. They are having Japanese ala carte buffet for about $30. It's at Mirarma hotel. They need to make reservations and I am not really into sashimi and sushi, so I did not commit for it. Luckily, I can't find anyone else to go out with me that night, and with a few pilots, I am able to join them. :P

We ordered a lot of sashimi. The swordfish is quite nice. so is the salmon. And of cos, the barflies are funny people to have around.

After dinner, we went to Bar Celona for some drinks. TK, Mandrake and Joel gotta leave early. Then Art Beng called me to go drinking at Meridien, so in the end, only left 4 of them there.

Apparently, Art Beng was at Shun Li, a pub at the peranakan place. He was with his colleagues and 4 nice chicks were talking to them. Art Beng has a very stupid reason for wanting to leave them, so he asked to meet me at Meridien. We were there for barely an hour before he asked to go back to Shun Li.

When we reach Shun Li, the 4 chicks were gone, except for 1, who is only interested in talking to his handsome colleague. Haha! Anyway, we'll call him Biscuit.

He has another colleague, a tall girl. We'll call her Tall. He told me she's a very girl next door type of girl. But that night, I think she drank quite a lot such that she's pretty high. She leaves near to Biscuit, and they are supposed to go home together. Another tall guy was hitting on her and laying it very thick, and she was sort of flirting with him. I would have thought they would leave the pub together. We were worried that if that happens, she might regret it the next morning if it happens, so we decide to make sure she got onto the cab safely with Biscuit before going home ourselves. Of course, if she insists on leaving with the guy, we can't do anything. It's her choice. I overheard the guy offering to send her back a lot of times, and I was impressed that she reject it each time. So she got good self control when drank. We did see her up the cab with Biscuit and we leave for home happily. Art got into another cab and I took the night bus.

I joined my colleagues for a session of soccer this evening. 1st, my angle was stepped on by an opposing player. Then I was tackled while running and I fell and roll on the grass, and I was topless. Feeling very itchy after that.

After abt 45 minutes of playing, I left them and go meet Kelvin for dinner. We had another court soccer session later. We played for about 2 hours. Again was tackled to the ground. And worse, I got cramps midway thru the game

Now my leg is aches and bruises all over. Sigh.

After the last exercise , I had a couple of better nights. I was still bitten, but it was at a ignorable rate. Of course, with these vermins, it doesn't take long before they disrupt my sleep again. This time, I looked harder. I realise they can be much smaller than those I've killed earlier. So small, they look like a speck of dust. So small, and they suck so much blood from me. The swollen bumps I've got are all pretty big. I doubt I managed to kill them all this time too. Let's see how long this last...

Early in the morning, I went for my bike lessons. This is lesson 3.01, and it's the 4th time I am taking this lesson. So they assigned 1 instructor to specially coach me. Not much of a difference I thought. This is because this lesson is on moving on a thin plank and then slalom around a few cones, and there is only 1 place in the circuit to do this. So even though I have a personal instructor, I still have to queue for using the plank and cones. Nevertheless, I really did improve over the last 3 times and managed to pass this lesson. Yah!

About midway thru the lesson, it started to drizzle lightly. Just lightly, so we can continue with the lesson. But about 15 minutes from the end of the lesson, it started raining heavily and our lessons were cut short. Luckily all of us passed.


As I was waiting for the shuttle bus, I see a nice sight in front of me. All the cars are parked in 1 area of the circuit. A lot of the instructors are waiting beside the car for their students. They are all holding the driving center umrellas, which is white and blue. It's a sea of blue-whites. Reminds me of the game Roller Coaster.

After the lesson, it's down to Funan to meet my ex-client. He got a problem which need my help. Though I am not with the company anymore, I went to meet him to listen him out and then tell my friend what he needs so that she can plan on how to service him.

After the meeting, it's to Holland Road to meet Bern and Gerald for lunch. After lunch, there's a little bit of breather and I went home for a short nap and then it's to Chinatown to pay bills. And then it's to ICA at Lavender to replace my IC. No, I did not lose it. I have to replace it because I am old I am over a certain age.

And then it's meeting with Bern and Cloud for tea. And then it's badminton.

Seems like a lot to do in 1 day. But it's almost over now...

There is nothing to this, but I found it hilarious when it first happened.

I was having supper with my friends, Shawn and his gf, Ting. Shawn was driving and he drove us there. Unfortunately, I left my bag in the car when I left them. I realised it pretty soon and called Ting to ask her about it. In case they are still nearby and can return it to me.

Me: Hi Ting. Where are you now?
Ting: Home.
Me: Oh. That's bad. I left my bag in the car. Nevermind, I'll get it from Shawn tomorrow.
Ting: Ok

After hanging the phone, I thought I should inform the owner of the car as well.

Me: Where are you?
Shawn: In the car.
Me: I left my bag in your car.
Shawn: I know.

Ting: How come he call both of us?
Shawn: Cos you told him you are home.
