I went to Johor Bahru with Sharon, Thierry, Sotong and Elaine this morning. We were supposed to meet at 10am at Kranji MRT station. I am early and reached there at about 9:45am. I was hopping that Thierry will be 30 min early again like the last time, but alas, he arrived right on time. Sotong arrived 5 minutes before him, and Sharon came 5 minutes after him.

Elaine reached Bukit Batok MRT at about the same time as Sharon reached Kranji. We wanted to wait for Elaine, but she said she can clear the customs faster than us, so we went ahead without her.

This time, the queue is pretty short and we cleared the customs in a very short time. We walk around in City Square until Elaine reached and we took 2 cabs to Pelangi Leisure Mall. It's pretty dead there, but they are showing 2 of the movies we wanna watch. We bought the tics and went McDonald's for lunch.

Warning: Spoilers for The Mtyh
The Myth
The first movie we gonna watch is The Myth, at 1245pm. I read in a few blogs that it is not nice, abut after watching, I thought it's not bad. Nice moves by Jackie again, though I thought he's distracted by the love story part of the movie. The storyline is not bad. Kim Hee Soon is so gorgeous, but Mallika's character is abit of a vase.

The story is about archeologist Jackie who keeps dreaming abt himself as a Qin dynasty general who saves a Korean princess. It become so bad that his gf breaks up with him cos he keeps murmuring the princess's name in his sleep. His scientist fren get him to help out in a project where they gotta look for some Indian artifact. Along the way, he learns more abt his dreams. Kim's character, the Korean Princess is betrothed to Emperor Qin in a political marriage. Jackie's previos life, the great general Meng, is tasked to escort her to escort protect her back to the palace. They were ambushed and Jackie nearly died trying to protect her. Thus love blossoms between them. Unfortunately, Meng's loyalty to his emperor resulted in Kim marrying the emperor instead. One day, Emperor Qin is dieing, but he got someone make him an elixir pill and Jackie is again tasked to bring it back to the palace. Meng died in the mission, but his subordinate managed to bring the elixirs back. Politics in the palace results in the emperor dieing anyway. So what happens to Jackie and his dreams in the end? I thought the ending abit cheesy, but overall the movie is not bad.

Warning: Spoilers for Wait Till You Are Older
Wait Till You Are Older
The 2nd movie that we watched is Wait Till You Are Older. There's still some time after we came out of the The Myth cinema till Wait Till You Are Older starts. We went for a round of arcade games.

This movie is very nice. And very touching. It's a must see!

It's about this little boy who blames his dad and his stepmother for causing his mom's death. He is rude and causes all kinds of trouble for his parents. He runs away from home frequently and his dad gotta bribe him to come gome everytime.

One day, he finds himself becoming a grown man. He's overjoyed. He went home pack his stuff, mess up the whole place and leave.

He gets to enjoy the freedom for 2 days, but he finds himself growing older at an accelerated rate. His adventures as an adult causes him to realise how much his parents actually loves him, and how wrong he had been. He regretted his actions, but he has not much time left. The accelerated aging is irreversible.

Try to catch this if you can. :)

We went to Holiday Plaza for a short shopping session than head out to somewhere nearby for dinner. And then it's home to type this blog. :P
