This is going to be a bad day or even week...
My legs are very sore. I am so unfit. Just 10km, and my legs, both of them, are going on strike.
Grrrrr.
Grrrrr.

New Balance Real Run
I signed up for the New Balance Real Run.

It's this morning. I've had about 1.5 hours of sleep. I have a slight cough. I should quit the run. I didn't. I thought I'll run abit and see how my body can take it. Reckless me.
Well, luckily nothing bad happens. I was feeling some problem after 1 km. The leg feels like lead. After about 2km, I decided to call it a day, and I started walking, looking for a road marshal to ask about dropping out. As the marshals are not in sight at that time, and it's pretty boring to walk, I jogged again. This time, there's a pain shooting up from the sole of my ankle on every steps. It doesn't always happens, but when it happens, it's pretty uncomfortable.
When I finally found the marshal, he told me he got no instructions on how to handle drop outs and that I have to walk to the finishing line. It's abt 8km away...
Since I am still able, I obliged. But I can't help thinking what if I continued and fainted? Walking 8km is not easy if one is sick. Anyway, again, it's very boring to walk the whole of 8km, so I alternated between jogging and walking. As I was joking, I was cursing the organizers for forcing me to complete a run that I wanna give up halfway.
Last year, there's 3 stretches of beach. This year there's only 2. Last year, there's 3km of beach run, this year it's only 1.6km. As I had been walking quite a fair bit in the starting 4.5km, I have energy left to jog on the beach. I do not know if it's cos I jogged, but 2 stretches of beach seems shorter than last yr as well. But the route pretty fits my memory of last year. Oh well...
During the beach run, I started enjoying the run more. I can't help but wonder if my problems I've had at the start of the run is due to my psychological state. I was prepared to not complete the race. I had intended on quitting it. Maybe that made me more conscious to the little nitty gritty of the run to find a reason to quit. As I start to enjoy the run, all my problems seems to be gone.
Along the way, there are alotta people overtaking me. Some of them, I feel against losing to them so that I'll up my pace and try to overtake them. I thought I should run my own race and not be concerned by other people, but the competitive streak in me that pushes me forward. There is this man in the veteran category that I was secretly fighting with. I always try to overtake him when he overtook me. And along the route, there's a part where there will be cars crossing. Marshals were directing the traffic. I slyly accelerate to cross the road before the marshals stop the runners behind me, including the veteran runner, to let the cars pass.
After that, I can't find another runner that runs at a pace similar to mine. So there's no 1 to overtake. And I started becoming slack. I realized I need that uncle.
I managed to complete the race at about 1 hr 24 min. A bad time. Last yr I completed in 1 hr 15 min. It was also a bad time...
After the run, I tried to find Beoh, the friend who came with me, to no avail. He's not at the place that he say he'll be at. And he did not bring his phone. So I sms his wife to tell her I am leaving. Just as I was about to go, I heard my name being announced. Someone had picked up my wallet. Shit. Almost lost my wallet and I am not aware of it at all. Maybe Losing wallets is contagious... Lucky I got back mine.

Another weekend at Wala Wala
This is quite an eventful weekend. I met with Joan at Suntec to waste some time away before joining them for dinner at Burger King at Liat Towers. We stupidly decide to walk there to save some money with 30 minutes left to the appointed time. We were late for more than 30 mins.
And before we make the long walk, we went to Swensons because I had a craving for Swensons. The ambience there is quite good.

I thought it's abit rude to take a pic of the place openly, so I used Joan as a decoy. Pls ignore her face when you look at the pic...
I ordered a 2 scope Gold Rush, with Rum and Raisin and Coffee ice cream. Yummy. I love Rum and Raisin!
I also ordered another dish. I can't remember the name. It's an apple desert with 1 scope of ice cream on a hot plate.
Edit: Frenie has just informed me that it's called Apple Crumble.

You see the smoke oozing from the dish? This thing is very filling. I can't finish it. And I've settled my dinner for the day.
Made 2 new friends at the Burger King, Darkelfin and YounG.
There is to be more bloggers that I'll meet and they are the more interesting 1s. :P Darkelfin and Mica was sick, so they decided not to go Wala Wala. I am also sick, but I decided to go anyway. Talk about social responsibilities...
The night in Wala Wala is pretty typical. Good songs by the Unxpected, though the 1st few songs abit too slow. :P
But I met Sassyjan. She's the 1st person to put me on her blogroll. Always been interested in getting to know her. Pity did not get to talk to her much.
Then I met Ping. Duckhawk has said that she's da ger. Well, after meeting her in person, I have to agree. Too bad she's currently attached. So sad. Haha!
Thought the nite, I was secretly observing Curious George, Winter and Frenie, hoping to find the answers to the S4 quiz. Too bad I only got 5 correct after all my observations.
Met the blogger formerly known as Big Fuck as well. Did not really read his blog, But I've seen the article where he wear the underwear on his head, so I can recognise him. That was funny.
After Wala Wala, we went to Bukit Timah for some porridge supper and that wraps up the day. Slept at 4:30am. Gotta wake up at 6am for the New Balance Real Run.

A weekday nite at Wala Wala
In the Danny's birthday at Club Momo post, I mentioned that I had worked overnight on Wednesday night. I worked until 5pm. I took penguin naps, but I was pretty tired.
After that, I did not go home. I met the barflies for dinner at Fish and Co. And after dinner, we went Wala Wala. Talk about siong. The embarrassing thing is that I forgot to bring money along and Duckhawk paid for me. Until now still no return him...
Anyway, I should have mentioned before, but there's a 1 for 1 offer at Wala Wala if you ordered before 9pm. After drinking 2 jars of Hoegaarden on Saturday, I wanted to tone down on the drinking. I was debating between orange juice and A mug of Hoegaarden. In the end I chose Hoegaarden.
After you ordered, you will be given a receipt and a green form. On it is written your order in this format:
<drink name> bal 1 1
The 2 1s stands for u having 2 glasses of the drink. When you redeem 1 glass, they'll cancel a 1. When you redeem the 2nd glass, they took the green form away.
For my green form, the 2nd 1 is quite small. When I redeem my send drink, the lady thought that the l in the bal is my 2nd drink and she return the green form to me after serving me my 2nd glass of drink.

My friend the body builder
Drq wanted me to write about our this bodybuilder friend, Jason. This guy is a real body builder. He not only goes gym, he follows a certain diet. He sculpts his body (is that the correct term?). And he wears damn fitting clothes. And he's not gay. I've heard stories of him hitting on a few girls, including the sister of a friend.
A lot of people associated bodybuilders with gay. I am of the opinion that gays likes to make themselves look good, thats why they go gym often. But somehow, the muscles that they build seems abit different from the body builders. I can't say exactly what, but a gay bodybuilder and a bodybuilder bodybuilder looks different. Jason does not looks like a gay body builder. So girls, if you think he's hot, you can add him to your friendster.
Speaking of friendster account, Jason was telling Drq that he had his 6 pack, the muscles not the beer, and he put his picture on friendster. But somehow, he seems to get alotta requests from gays only. Haha! I'll show you his pictures and you tell me what you think...
Edit: Jason has requested that I removed the pics, so no more.

Danny's birthday at Club Momo
It was a Wednesday afternoon and I was working when I received his msn msg. He told me he's going to Club Momo to celebrate his birthday and that he'll buy alotta drinks and ask me to go help make him drunk. How can I reject a request like this?
I met wif Bel and Hanyong and one more guy (forgot his name, so paiseh) below my office and we walked there. There's free entry for guys if we go before 10pm. We reached there at 10:03. Damn. $18 gone like that.

We went in and realized it's some Miss Tropicana Contest duno which round, but they were choosing 12 to go thru the next rounds. The gers are so so only. Here's a few of them.

This is not competitor. She's part of the interval performer. They call themselves the 3D. Cos their name all starts with D, and cos they are all D cup.

I did not take too much pictures of the 3Ds. This is taken just after they finished their dance.

She's 1 of the chosen 1s. Her attire is soooo HOOOT...

Another chosen one. I think she got those Eurasian look. And she looked bored.

Another 2 of the chosen ones. I thought the one on the left is quite cute.

This chosen one not bad too right?

This all the contestants!
Ok. Thats about it for the Miss Tropicana. Robin Leong was in the house. They actually called him up during the interval. Too bad I did not manage to get a nice picture of him. But then, I am more interested in the 3Ds. Haha!

Before you guys forget, this is supposed to be Danny's brithday remember? This is me and him. Let's wish him a happy birthday.

This is Danny after a few rounds of drink. Hanyong is trying very hard to make him drunk. :)
Alot of the barflies were telling me Club Momo is boring. And the music while I'm there is really quite boring. But it became better just as I was leaving. I couldn't stay late as I have to demo my project to my company's management the next morning and there's 1 last thing I wanted to add in.
Talk about last minute work. I had thought it is easy enough. But the lack of sleep causes me to made 1 pretty bad mistake. The demo was scheduled at 9am. I thought I can finish by then, do the demo and go home sleep.
I almost managed to do it, then I made the stupid mistake. Everything falls apart after that I have to delay the demo until late in the afternoon, about 5pm. And I am supposed to meet the barflies for dinner at 7pm. So no sleep for me. After dinner, we went to Wala Wala again. This time I did not stayed till the end. Left at about 12, after the 2nd set by Unxpected. Slept until 9+ the next day and reach ofc close to 11am. :P

I've Sinned
I went to the SMU Kopitaim again. This time for dinner with Choon Keat and Floria. The place is pretty much empty at that time.
Floria was wearing work clothes and she want me to buy for her as I was dressed my casually. I told her to buy herself and she's not happy.
Her bowl of Korean noodle cost an expensive $6. I bought Yong Tau Hu. It's $4.50 for 7 items + noodle + laksa. It's quite expensive if u ask me. Anyway, the seller asked me if I am a student. I hesitated and say "Ar...". She interpreted it as yes and charged me onli $3.60. Sin no 1.
Floria is grumbling that I did not help her save $1.20 when I told her about my discount.
If you don't know what I am talking abt, SMU Kopitiam gives 20% to SMU students and staff. The store owner have thought that I looked like a student and hence charged me less.
After we finished our our meal, we wanted ice-cream. And I was sent to buy it. This time, I confidently say that I am a student when asked about it, having already done it once. Sin no 2.
When we were about to finish our desserts, Poh Kiong and Daniel called us to da pao something for them. Again, Choon Keat and Floria appointed me to go get the stuff for them.
While buying for Daniel, I was asked the same question for the 3rd time, "Are you a student". I answered "Yes, but I did not bring my card". My conscience must be getting to me. Sin no 3.
Finally, I was asked for the fourth time that question. This time my conscience won and I answered no. The 1 veggie, 1 egg and 1 meat rice cost $4. Thats so expensive. But luckily, I am not paying for it. :P
And to be fair to Poh Kiong, who did not get to enjoy my student discount, I decided to charge Daniel the original amt as well. :P

Another night's out at Wala Wala
Today, I get to be at Wala Wala before 9pm. Past 2 times that I am there, I got something on before that and I reach at 12. This time I get to enjoy the happy hour deal.
I ordered a jug of Hoe Gaarden and a glass of Black Russian for missy. Too bad she did not turn up in missy uniform.
xxoos didn't know how to get to Wala Wala, so I go pick her up. And missy along the way.
It's King Meng's birthday today, and he gotten quite drunk on beer. What a pussy.AnyawyAnyway, they ordered a flaming lambourgini as weelwell. He's a confirmed gonner.
MG send him home and met us at the supper place in Mohd Sultan. Me, Brennon, and Fat Kitten (she's not fat at all) took a cab down while the other gers took Ducky's car.
When they were about to perform their last song, I shouted for "5 more". Shirlyn asked us to buy their cd. I told them buy liao and get Nad, who's sitting near my waist pouch to show it to her, and they really perform 5 songs. Coolz.

MLM or Network marketing
Read this post by Makan Guru in the Cowboy Bar recently.
This is as good a argument against MLM as I can see. There is only so many people in this world. And only so many people you are in contact with. And each person can only be sold once. So the ones at the bottom of the chain got much less people to sell to. Add to the fact that a big number of people are hostile towards MLM. So the pool of people willing to join MLM dries up pretty fast.
I have the primary school mate who recently was trying to get me into AmWay. I told him straight out that the only reason why AmWay is now in Sillypore is that they have maxed out in the US and are now looking for new markets. He refused to believe me, and kept asking me to go down to see him so he can tell me of their new management principles. I then again refused him nicely and told him i was not interested, but if he wanted to go out for drinks anytime just to give me a call. He mumbled something and then put the phone down.
The really sad thing is that he is so obsessed with money and getting me into the system that he has tried so hard to get my contact, but then instead of wanting to rebuild our long lost friendship he is blinded my the money.
I even met this 18 year old girl who was obsessed with this MLM program that this was the only thing she thought about. She was begging people for contacts and trying all ways and means to get herself "promoted" to the next level. It is so sad to see a girl that age be so obsessed with money that she has forgotten all the fun things in life.
In short, MLM if you go in at the beginning you can do well, but for the worker bees who come in at the bottom and later, they basically get screwed. The main thing that i really hate about MLM is how it changes people into being money obsessed and robs them of their ability to hold real relationships, because they just end up seeing every person as a potential contact or sale. Damn sad.

Minarso's farewell drinking session
Minarso is leaving the country. So I decide to organise a farewell drinking session for him. It's been sometime since we last had something like this. He's only going home to Indonesia tomorrow and he'll be back in September. But he's going to Australia for good after that.
Anyway, I chosed this pub called Father Flannagan in Chijmes. I like this place because they served Kilkenny on tap and it's near our office.
We were supposed to meet at 8pm. I am supposed to help my sis buy a new mobile phone, so I hurriedly rushed down to Bugis to get the phone at abt 7:10pm. It's a very big rush, and Elaine say I'll be late again. I am determined to prove her wrong.
I reached the M1 shop and get a queue number. There are still more than 30 persons ahead of me. So I went Mcdonald's to get my dinner. After I finished the burger, there's still about 30 persons in front of me.
I waited 20 minutes and there's still 25. It's already close to 7:50pm. I talked to the M1 staff and he told me that he estimated my turn to be another 20 minutes. I don't really belief him. They only managed to serve 5 persons in the last 20 minutes. He said that there will proabably be a number of pp who can't wait and left before their turn.
Since I am determined not to be late for the drink session, I left the shop and rushed down to the pub. I reach the place rite on 8pm. They were not there. Only Wai Hong and Peter is there. Jon reach the pub shortly after me. And Parry sms me at that time asking me what time are we meeting. I reply him "now".
It turned out the gers and Tiong Hoe are still having dinner. And Elaine dare to criticized me for being late. They were much much later than me...
I had a chat with Wai Hong, Jon, and later Parry and Drq for abt 15 minutes. After that, it's back to the shop. I reach the shop at 8:30, There's still 10 persons in front of me. By the time i got the phone, it's past 9. I got back to Father Flannagan's at 9:30. What a rush.

There are about 15 of us. Some of us are playing 5-10 an some of us are having a chat. I joined the 5-10 group. I shan't explain what the game is all about. If you don't know, ask your frens. Someone is bound to know.

We played until we finished all our beer, and it's photo taking time.

This is the 5-10 group + Minarso. The others are in another picture as the sofa can't squeeze so many pp. I shan't post that picture as I am not in it. :P
We left the place before 11. Some of us decides to go back to office to have a few games of pool before going home. I needed to get my library book which I left in the office. Played terribly tonite, but then, I rarely plays well. :P
Lastly, Daniel is kind to drive the ladies back, and since I am along the way, I get to be driven home as well. :)

Lunch at Magic Wok
XY owes PS a meal. Not sure why, I think it's a bet between them. Anyway, they decided at Magic Wok, at Capitol Building. And the rest of us decides to join them as well. I've not been there for a very long time. Their standard has dropped considerably. Anyway, here's a pic of our food. :)

RSSFWD
Before I talk abt RSSFWD, I think I should explain blog feeds. Those who aready know may wan to scroll down to the bottom. I am not really familiar with feeds. I only know how to use them, but I'll try to explain them properly.
Wikipedia gave a short explanation about blog feeds. I think it's a bit too short though.
To explain more about blog feeds, I want to paint a scenario. Supposed that you are following 100 blogs. So you will have 100 bookmarks/favorites. And you needa click on them periodically to check if they have new postings. Those blogs that you know post regularly, you click more often. But even then, clicking 100 links is abit siong and 1/2 the time there's no uploads.
So what you can do is to either subscribe to a online service like bloglines. or a windows application that can syndicate feeds. These softwares and web sites can check the blogs on your behalf and inform u.
RSS
and atom
are 2 kinds of blog feeds that are more commonly used. I don't know much, maybe clicking on the wikipedia links will help you find out more about them. :P
Now, what is RSSFWD? It's a RSS feed reader that informs you of blog updates via email. Meaning, it will send you new postings by email. It's a service provided by my fren, Choon Keat. It started because he thought since he checks his email every time, it will be more convenient for him if the new postings of the blogs he follows are sent to his email as well. So RSSFWD is born, and he finds it quite neat, and decides to share it with everyone.
If you look at my sidebar on the right, under the section syndicate, there's 2 orange icons that say RSSFWD. One for subscribing to my blog articles, the other for subscribing to my blog comments. Clicking them will bring up a form for you to subscribe to my feeds using RSSFWD.(For the other blog)
And finally, if you find RSSFWD useful, please go there and make a donation to him. It's not mandatory, web hosting is not free, he will appreciate it if you can help cover the cost a bit. :)

Elaine's farewell lunch
Elaine is leaving soon. So we had a farewell lunch for her at Curry Flavour. I originally planned to join Natsu Umi and CG for lunch, but I got a last minute call from xy about this.

There's no space for such a big group, so we were seated outside the restaurant.

It's a long and quiet corridor.

This is Elaine. Take care! We'll miss ya!

Michael Owen coming back?
There's alotta rumours saying Liverpool is getting Michael Owen back. It's probably going to be 1 yr on loan 1st, the year after than we pay for his transfer fee. It seems like the board is pressuring Rafa to buy him. That's only my opinion, and I've not done anything whatsoever to verify it.
I've always not been a fan of Owen. I always thought that to make him efficient, you have to play in a way thats not beautiful. And he seems to have lost his speed which is the main thing that make him so dangerous.
Anyway, personal prejudice aside, I have other doubts about getting him back. 1 year ago, he left us for supposedly greener pastures. 1 year ago, Milan Baros chose to stay and fight for his place.
For the past year, it's been bad for Owen. He's not been getting alotta games. For the past year, Milan Baros have a mixed season. He performed quite well in the 1st half of the season, but in the 2nd, for some reasons, his performance dropped significantly. But even then, you can see that he put in 110% effort every time he played.
Now, after a disappointing season in Real Madrid, Owen wants to come back. But we got enough strikers, so we likely to offload 1, and it looks to be Milan Baros. I've always liked Baros. He always put in alotta efforts and he has been improving on his weaknesses. I can understand that Rafa wants to release Baros in favour of some better striker, or for funds to get another player in a more needed position. I'll not compare their abilities. I'll just say that I don't think Owen is very much better than Baros.
But to drop Baros for Owen? I'm not sure, but to exchange someone who has put in his blood for us for someone who turn his back on us seems so wrong. No doubt Baros has a bad mouth. He seems to say all the wrong things to the press. But all the things that he said, it's because he wants to play. Every time he complained about not playing, he accepts his position and tries to fight his way back in. This shows his immerse fighting spirit. This guy has a winning mentality. We should keep him.

Weekly Badminton
My frens and I played badminton every Tuesday. If we can get the courts that is. I started joining them about 1.5 yrs ago. But I believe the group has been playing for quite a number of years. I've not blogged about this, but since I've got a new camera phone, Here's a picture of 1 of the game. :)

Me and my impulse...
Got a letter from M1 offering me Sony Ericsson k300i for only $18 if I extend a 2 year contract with them. In addition, I get to have a $10 rebate in my bill every month for 1 yr. This rebate is regardless if I buy the phone, just as long as I extend the contract.
I'm also looking for a new phone as my current SE T630 camera picture quality is too bad for blogging. Add to it that my sister's phone has also just gone bonkers. So I decide to go take a look at the k300i.
The M1 shop do not let me try out the camera function of the k300i, so I would not know if the camera picture is really better. And it's the last phone in their stock. I know that the k700i, which cost $198, is good enough for me. But I am quite tempted to get the k750i, which cost $598. My budget is actually $100.
Guess what's my choice?
I bought the k750i using my Standard Chartered Credit Card in installments of 6 months, meaning about $100 a month. I had wanted to get the k700i in installments, but there is a minimum of $200 purchase for the installment, and I am not willing to come up with $200 upfront....
I am so so so poor now.

Webhost info
My webhost is Rails App Hosting (RAH). They were giving free use of their hosting to beta testers and I signed up. But they are not accepting any more applications for beta testers and is going into production soon. And they have a nice package for their beta testers. US$100 for life. Which is pretty cheap. The other alternative I am looking at is abt US$40 a year.
RAH is quite a cool webhost. They are run fully in Ruby On Rails. And they support subverison, SSH, Mysql database, PostgreSQL database, among other things. And their support has been fantastic so far. Almost instantaneous response. In fact, there's this time that I screw up my dns settings and their replies can't reach me, and they do a whois on my domain to get my other email and send their reply there as well.
They did not say anything about the file size capacity, bandwidth limit though.
It's definitely worth a second look if you are looking for a webhost, especially a Rubyonrails webhost.

New SMU Kopitiam
Got an email this morning from a colleague. This is what he says,
End up, a whole bunch of us, more than 20, made our way across the road to the spanking new SMU. There is a glass door that can only be opened from the inside with some access card. Strangely, a guy standing there saw us coming and opened the door for us. I wonder whats with this security that you need a pass to get in.
Anyway, Kopitiam is a short walk from the door. When we reach it, we were glad to find that the crowd is not there yet. We got 1 whole long table to ourselves and find that there's not enuff seats even. There are bright white lights and my friend told me he preferred it to those soothing yellow lights. There are alotta stores there and each stores sells quite a number of different items. A bit spoilt for choice I say.
The price is normal food court price and not the cheap price that we come to expect in campus, but students have a 20% discount. Even then, it's still more expensive than the other universities and polytechnics campuses.
I ordered something that I thought cost $4.50, but the lady collected only $3.60. I thought I see the price wrongly, but I later realize that she's only charging me at student price. But another colleague who's 2 persons in front of me, and another colleague who's right behind me was asked to show their cards, which they don't have. So they paid $4.50 for their lunch, which is the same item as me. Lucky me. :)
Through my lunch, I smelled this strangely pungent smell. It's not really strong, but I can distinctly smell it. I looked around and realized our tables is right in front of this Taiwanese food stall. I wonder if they prepared fermented dofu there. A colleague beside me told me she smelled something too.
The Indonesian grilled chicken rice I ate is not bad. They serves chicken cutlet instead of the whole chicken drumstick and alotta veggie in the soup.
After the rice, I ate ice kachang. It is only of average standard.
One disappointment is the absence of young and pretty students. Maybe it's cause the school is not fully opened yet. We shall see. :P
Good news: Kopitiam at SMU is now open
It's located at the basement of Li Ka Shing Library, just cross the street, go underground and walk, you won't miss it.
There are about 20 different stalls there, bad news is that it's Kopitiam prices, which I think is more expensive than Food Junction.

Burnt my stupid thumb
I was working till almost 10:30 today. On a Sunday! Grr.
Anyway, made my way to Plaza by the Park for a late dinner. Ordered kway chap. As I was finishing the kway, i realized there's still alotta food left, so I ordered another bowl of kway.
As I was walking back to my table, the soup sorta spilled and soaked my thumb. It was pretty painful. And the pain is still there as I was eating the kway.
Then I seem to have this idea tat saliva can cure burns somewhat, so I licked/sucked my thumb. Sounds gross, I know. But I was inexcruciating pain. It did feels better after that. Though for a while before the pain comes back. Gotta lick my thumb a few times.
Later in the toilet, I realize that cold water can do the same. :P

Wala Wala and Drunk frens
Reach Wala Wala at 11:30am. The rest were there for some time liao. I reached there to find F1 pretty drunk. apparently M1 ordered a flaming lambo for her, which he get M2 to pay. F1 became quite gone after that and M2 is grumbling about it as it's now he's fault that she's drunk.
The band is good. Enjoyed myself there. And I saw Exemplary behavior from M1, M2, M3 and M4. Of the 4 of them, I think only M3 knew F1 well. The rest were all new frens. Between the 4 of them, they were taking very good care of her and F2 who became quite drunk too.
In the end, M1 send F1 back and M2 send F2 back. M5 and M6 went onto M2's car and gave him quite alotta trouble, but he managed to get F2 safely back to her room. So everything turned out fine. We did not have supper and I was hungry though. :P
I went home and realize it's the last 15 minutes of Liverpool's season opening game against Middlesboro. So I went downstairs and watch it in the Kopi Tiam. Not very exciting. And that about ends my day.
We learned abit more about each other today. Things like Alcohol tolerance, how some pp react when drunk, who some pp react when fren's drunk, etc. All in all, it's a fruitful night.

Malaysia rabbit
About 3 yrs ago, I went China for holiday. I went to Suzhou, Shanghai and Hangzhou. Sang Wee was assigned to Suzhou for work. So I go bunk in with him. Suzhou is near enough to Shanghai that we shld not incur too much accomodation cost while going to Shanghai.
I shan't go into the details of that trip. It was abit fun, but it's not the topic. The reason I bring it up is because we were having dinner with a bunch of Suzhou colleagues at a nice restaurant, and there's this meat dish that was very nice. I keep taking it.
Then Sang Wee think it's very nice too and asked whether it's chicken and they told him it's rabbit. And Sang Wee go "Ewwee" and pushed the dish away. I jus keep on taking it. :P
But after sometime, I see Sang Wee reach for the rabbit meat with his chopsticks again. I guess he must have thought it's very gd too.
I never had rabbit again since. Finally yesterday, I managed to get a few friends to go Johor Bahru with me to eat rabbit. :P
We met at Kranji MRT station and took a bus into Malaysia at about 11am. We walk from the customs to City Square. Did quite alotta shopping in there. I bought a stripped shirt. Elaine bought a pair of Levy's sunglass. Sharon bought a tshirt, a pair of pants and a pair of slippers. Geok Choon and mum bought a few things as well. Only XY and TH did not get anything.
We also watched Bewitch. The ticket was RM$10. Much cheaper than in Singapore, I remember it was cheaper the last time I watch movies there.
We shopped until abt 6pm and we took a taxi to Pelangi Plaza. Not for more shopping. My fren told me the place to eat game was behind Pelangi Plaza. We found the restaurant and ordered our dinner. The rabbit was disappointing. It's not really bad, but I expected better. Overall it's ok.

Consists of water cress soup, ell, deer, rabbit tofu, kang kong. There's Pai Ku
Wang (Pork Chop) too, but we forgot to take the pic until we finished it. Wait, there's still a few pieces left.

There.
After dinner, it's more shopping at Pelangi Plaza. We realise there's a free shuttle bus service about 1 hour later.

This picture is taken while we were at Mcdonald's waiting for the bus.
We took the free shuttle bus to City Square and walk to the customs. It's the end to JB-Rabbit-Eating-Trip.
It's not the end of the day for me though. I went to Wala Wala to meet up with the barflies. But that's the next article.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
This book is 1 of the books i read back in secondary school days. Dun quite remember the story, just a little bit here and there. Forget abt the ending as well.
But what I saw of the movie, I think it's quite nice. What I can remember about the original story, it's there. That's not saying much though.
The movie is funny enuff. There seems to enuff focus on the impt characters. The story is nice.
It's gd enuff that I'll recommend pp to go watch.

Harry Potter 6
Note: Spoilers ahead
I have just finish reading the Harry Potter 6. I've read some spoilers from Xiaxue's blog. Damn. I already know Snape gonna kill Dumbledore. Horrors! How can JK Rowling do that!!
I do hope that it's all a ploy of Dumbledore and he plotted his own death in order to kill Lord Voldemort. Certain scenes do seem it's possible...
After finish reading, I have some thoughts about the story. But I have not collected and arranged my thoughts yet. So it will be another entry for the review of Harry Potter 6: The Half Blood Prince. :)

National Day Parade 2005
I do not have tickets to NDP 2005. The tickets are always in such high demands. Anyway, I was in City Hall area that afternoon doing some work. so I thought I'll pop down and take some pictures.
Pictures:

Attempting to capture a flying plane.

Another attempt to capture another flying plane.

Crowd waiting for the marching contingent.

Another crowd.

Traffic police arriving to cordon off a section of roads for the marching contingent.

Here comes the marching contingent!

Fire engine go past. This is the only vehicle I managed to take a picture of. The others are either moving along other roads or I arrived much too late. Even this picture is so blurry as it's moving too fast and too far for me to be able to take a proper 1.
