Combat Sudoku

I've always liked to play sudoku. Some time back I was playing quite frequently in the web site sudokucombat.com. It enable you to play the same puzzle with another person at the same time. The 1 that finishes 1st wins.

Unfortunately, it was bought over by another company. This company decides to revamp sudoku combat into something not fun. Thus, there's no more good multiplayer combat sudoku.

Recently, i received an email about Subdoku Shootout The game play is similar to sudoku combat. Now I hope the user base goes back as well.

Buy present must wrap it yourself?

I gave a christmas present to a friend recently. When she unwrapped, she found a price tag inside. I know it's bad to put the price tag there, unless it's something very expensive and you want the person to know. My present is not expensive.

Anyway, my excuse is that I did not wrap the present. My sister did. I passed it to her before going to work and asked her to wrap for me. Obviously, she forgot to check for price tag before she wrap. Maybe I should have checked before passing to her. I thought she'll make sure of it before she starts.

Anyway, Alex was saying it shows that I do not have sincerity as I it's my sister who wrapped it, and not me. This is 1 thing I don't understand. If you did not wrap the present you want to give people is insincerity, then why do so many companies offer wrapping services if you buy from their shop? And all the long queue of people waiting for their presents to bewrapped, are they all without sincerity? All the shopping centers should just save their money, and not hire all the extra help for wrapping presents..

Is he worth $1

This thing happen some time back. I was organising a movie session for my friends. I prefer Cathay, but some1 always insists on Cineleisure because there's free parking there. At least it's not Lido anymore. Anyway, one of us have a $1 discount for GV. The problematic 1 tells me that if we go GV, he won't go. So it boils down to whether we want to put him aeroplane over $1. It's either we spend $1 or he save his parking fee. Maybe we should save the $1 and use it to pay for his parking. :P

I thought this is a ridiculous situation to be in. $1 or your friend. I hope when my friends have to chose me over money, it's for something much more than $1.

National Treasure ][

National Treasure 2

I went to watch National Treasure last night. I had a hard time organising this. At first, we wanted to watch Warlords at 9:30pm at Cathay. Hanwen think it's too late. I found a later slot but only the 1st 4 rows are available. So I called Alex and asked him about it. He say he'll only watch if it's 7th row and above. So too bad for Hanwen. Then Alex tells me that he wanted to watch at Cineleisure instead. Cineleisure shows it at 9:15pm. So I called Hanwen again. He still thinks it's too early. Then I called Felyn. She said she's not interested in watching Warlords, but she don't mind joining us if we watched National Treasure instead. She is ok with the timing. So I called Alex to check if he's ok with National Treasure. There is no suitable time for National Treasure. So I gotta check out more cinema and finally found a slot in Prince at 9pm. I called Alex to make sure he's ok with the location. Then I called Hanwen to make sure he's ok with the timing. Then I just inform Felyn and Wanda. Don't know why nowadays guys more troublesome than girls.

Ok. Enough crap. Back to main topic.

I think National Treasure is nice. The action is good and the plot interesting enough. I shan't post spoilers this time. Overall it's qiute enjoyable.

Yong He is moving

Yong He New Location

Yong He, 永和油条大王, is moving. This another example of the rocketing property prices in Singapore. Rental doubled for a lot of places in the country. Rumour has it that my office is moving some corner in Yishun due to our land lord wanting to double our rent, and that the rent in Yishun is half our current rent.

Anyway, Yong He got another substantial increase to their rent, so they are moving somewhere further up the road. From Lor 9, they are moving to Lor 27A from year 2008.

I know I am careless

I am a very careless and absentminded person. I've lost countless wallets, keys and mobile phones. I've had plenty of near misses as well.

I've also had a lot of friends having a jab at me at my forgetfulness. All these, I can only accept with a smile. How else can I do? I really did lose all those phones and wallets and what nots. Sometimes I wonder why they don't get tired of it. Do they think I purposely lose it? I've tried not to lose too many things, and for a period of time I succeeded, but somehow, it all came back again recently. Many a time, when I left my wallet or whatever behind, a friend picked it up, I wish they would just tap my shoulder and remind me about it. What's the point of silently picking it up and observe how long I took to realise it? They already know I am forgetful.

I hate it when people pick on people's weakness. I've tried not to. I've a Hong Kong friend whose Mandarin is quite bad. It's understandable as she doesn't speak it normally. I've never made fun of her wrong diction.

I am ok with people giving me advice, telling me I should be more careful, even though I've heard it numerous time. But they meant well. I am ok with that. I've another friend who went for interview and did a few things wrong. So I tried to tell her what she did wrong. She took it wrongly and say that I am making fun of her. So I tried not to criticise anything about her again. I hope people don't stop critising me when I do something wrong. But the manner of it does makes a difference. Telling me in the face, "Hey! You careless pig. You forgot the wallet" WHEN I left it behind is good. But keeping it secretly and to prove tat I am forgetful is tasteless.
