Anyway, I am now trying to rush finish some stuff b4 I go in. *pant pant*
Tonite Liverpool playing Arsenal. Liverpool has lost too many games in the EPL, gotta win this 1. But with the class of Arsenal, and the injuries of Liverpool, it looks bleak... :(
And lastly, I have not told much friends about this yet. And I dun suppose any of them gonna read this, though I sent the links a number of times. Probably not interesting enuff of a read for them... Here goes.... I have a Taiwanese gf now. We actually onli seen each other for abt 4 hours. On a bus ride from Bangkok to Pattaya. She's a lovely lady. Definitely the highlight of my trip. We kept in contact after tat, and 1 thing leads to another...
Ok. Tats all for now. cya all....

Anyway, back to what I was going to say. The movie is 2 hrs + long. so by the time I came out of the cinema, it was almost 12. I hurriedly walked to the bus stop. As it was late, and I do not know the timing for the last bus, I looked at the bus schedule and find out that my last bus is at 12:01.
"Great!" I thought. "I am in time for the last bus"
I turned around and see the bus whoozing passed.
How unlucky can you get. I had a similar experience 1 month back. My bus whizzed pass when i was looking at the bus schedule/route. But it was in the day that time and I managed to chase the bus to the next stop and board it. But this time it's different. It's the last bus, and it's too far gone for me to chase. And what's worse is that I knew this could happen, and I checked to make sure there's no bus before I looked the schedule. I guess it wasn't enough....

Anyway, it was my friend's wedding on Sunday (14/11). Yes, It's Deepavali. His dinner was on Monday however. Apparently the ballroom was fully booked on Deepavali, so he have to hold it 1 day later.
We reach his house early at 6:30am. Had some toasts, and off we go to the bride's house. The bride's mum is very good. She arranged for grandma to come at 7:30, about the time we reach there. So the sisters gotta open the door for her, and we can barge in together. But we were the nice guys. We decide to subject the bridegroom to more tests. :P After her plan A failed, due to our incooperation, she resorted to sneaking us the keys. The bridesmaids had a hard time preventing the keys from slipping out.
In the end, we got in. The punishments we had to go thru were writing a poem on the spot, singing our secondary school song, eaten 4 wasabe laden sushi, drank a glass of pure freshly squeezed lime juice and a glass of pure vinegar. I was the one with the lime juice. Lucky me. Poor Justin got the vinegar.
After that are some photo taking and back we go to the bridegroom's house. It's more photo taking. Tea ceremony and buffet. After that we go to the newly wed's new house. There's some tradition about switching on all the lights in the house of the newly weds on the wedding day. Waiting for grandma to make a preparations before we set of for grandma's house to hold a teaa ceremony for the deceased grandad.
Then it's back to the bride's parent's house. More photo taking, tea ceremony, and buffet, and we go to the last stop of the day. Their house. We chill out for a bit, play abit of mahjong and then we were off.
The next day we turned up at the ball room to help him with the dinner. He brought a laptop to play their DVD clip on the projector. Strangely, the laptop can't produce any sound when plugged in to the hotel's sound system. So we had to rent a DVD player from the hotel to play it.
The dinner is nice. The bridegroom was toasted quite abit. He drank all the red wine toasts. The others is left to me. So I drank for him some cognac, some wine/beer concoction, some other weird concoctions as well. I gulped all of them down, and the guests were quite happy about it. Phew.
After the dinner, the brothers and the bridesmaids went with them to the hotel room to play some games with the newlyweds. By the time we left, the bridegroom was pretty knocked out. So was I.

My fren pointed out to me that the officer had followed procedures and he gave me 2 links in straits times where this incident is reported. So I was really wrong. Ciscos officers are really well trained to protect the banks they are guarding.
Can only blame the guy for being so stupid as to bring fake gun to rob banks. Use knife can liao, as someone has done last month, getting away with $10,000 from Hong Leong finance. And less likely to kena head shot.
My fren also point out 2 things to me. Why did he shot "Robbery" to everyone, when he could have just subtly ask the bank teller to hand some money to him. And that dun he watch movies? 1st thing to do is to get the cisco officer to drop his gun.
This is starting to look more and more like it's a desperate attempt to get money. This robbery is so messy. This guy may owe loan sharks a hefty sum of money or something... Just a shot in the dark. :P

I was not there, but how did he get himself shot when he has a hostage? He must be quite careless. Or the Cisco officer is very confident of his marksmanship. The gun must have looked very real as well to convince the officers to shot him.
I don't have the details, but it seems like the cisco officer fired 2 shots in a hostage situation, where the robber's weapon is a toy gun. I would have thought the officers is too excited / nervous abt encountering his 1st bank robbery. But of cos I should be wrong. Ciscos officers are well trained to protect the banks they are guarding.
Poor guy. He must be either stupid or desperate. Robbing a bank with a toy gun...

The place is nice, but the seminar abit ill-organised. The key speaker thought he has 1.5 hrs to talk, but he actually got only 1hr. And to make matter worse, the guy who's supposed to do the opening address overrun. So the poor speaker is rushing thru his slides. Din get to hear much abt the new products they are launching. The snack during the tea break is ok only.
I think back to 2 yrs ago, when I go for Sun Tech Days, where they launch JDK 1.4. It's so much different. They have 2 days, compared to Borland's 1/2. The presentations are so much more in depth. The food is much better as well. But then, for Sun Tech Days, we gotta pay to get in. Maybe that's the difference....

I was at my friend's house having a gathering when the match Liverpool vs Birmingham started. As he has not subscribed to the cable sports channel, I used his pc to listen to the webcast commentary. It sounded like Liverpool dominated. In fact, I did not hear anything about Birmingham attacking at all! I left the place at half time with the score 0-0, hoping to catch the remaining at home.
15 minutes of the second half has passed when i reach home. Still, it was all about Liverpool attacking, but no goals. Ssuddenly, Birmingham scored!! I can't believe this. Their only chance and they scored! And Liverpool had tons of chances... Sigh... Another 1 of those days where things jus can't seem to go right for Liverpool...
On a brighter note, I've put up the christmas tree in my office. Now all it needs is the lights. If only I can find them...

My blog...
What am I going to write... getting a bit lost here...
After reading a number of interesting blogs, I thought I'll try my shot at it. Over the next few posts, I will try to establish an identity for this blog. But until then, this is probably just some random messy posts by me.
Thats all for now, until I think of something else to write...
